How Do I Install a New Operating System

Our automated OS installer makes installing a new OS on your server only a few clicks away.

1. Log into your Portal account: https://portal.fastserv.com/. If you don’t know your password,  use the “Lost Password” link and enter your Email.  Follow instructions to reset your password.
2. Click “Services”
3. Click “Dedicated Servers”, then “Details” next to the server you want to install an OS on
4. Click “Reinstall OS” and then Confirm

Our automated systems will instantly start a network-based install of the OS you have chosen.  On typical hardware Linux takes anywhere from 10-20 minutes, and Windows takes 30-60 minutes start to finish.  When the installation is complete, you will receive an email stating so.  Your server is now ready to log in to.

Note:  Monthly SPLA licensing fees apply to Windows Operating Systems.  Be sure you are aware of current pricing before choosing a Windows installation.
